With three cooking zones, KitchenAid KHIP370510 induction hob is a practical cooking unit with straightforward touch-slide controls and all the advantages of induction. Its black ceramic glass surface will bring a touch of style to any contemporary kitchen. Efficient heating Three heating zones offer a range of power ratings to suit your requirements, whether you are searing meat at high temperature or simmering vegetables. As induction heats the pan only and the surrounding hob surface stays cool to the touch, this technology is efficient and economical. It adapts itself to heating different-sized pans to the temperature that you set. Flexible cooking A bridging option enables you to link the two left-sided zones, making it possible to accommodate larger oval or rectangular pans. Both zones can be set to produce the same level of power. The larger right-side zone can accommodate large round pans and can also be reduced to a standard size zone. Precise control The cooking zones are all controlled electronically by touch-slide controls at the front of the hob, meaning you have precise temperature control and the heat levels respond instantly to the touch of a finger. The hob has a sensor that detects when the contents of a pan reaches boiling point, automatically lowers the heat and sounds a warning signal. Power boost Induction hobs also heat up faster than other types of hob, and this unit can raise the temperature very rapidly thanks to a powerful booster unit. It automatically switches itself off when the contents of a pan reach boiling point, but continues heating at the control setting. Cooking options Hob control and monitoring includes a programmable timer, a power-on indicator and individual residual heat indicators linked to each cooking zone. There's also a multifunction button that allows you to set a low temperature to melt chocolate or butter. All zones can be set to keep food warm before serving. Please note: If you have a heart pacemaker, do seek advice from your doctor before using an induction hob. Please also only use pans suitable for induction hobs. These include enamelled steel, iron, stainless steel (depending on the alloy) and some aluminium pans with a ferromagnetic base. Glass and copper bases are unsuitable. Please note: there should be a minimum height clearance of 65cm between an electric hob and the cooker hood above it.... More
