The Pentax K-70 Digital SLR Camera Body offers a plethora of advanced, user-friendly features for optimised image quality. This includes a large state-of-the-art 24 megapixel CMOS sensor; the Pentax-developed Pixel Shift Resolution System; an AA (anti-aliasing) filter simulator; in-body shake reduction, and an optical viewfinder with almost 100 percent field of view. The camera body, on the other hand, offers a dustproof, weather-resistant, and cold-proof construction making it ideal for outdoor photography and high-action outdoor activity photography.

- Features a 24 megapixel CMOS sensor with Dust Removal mechanism that shakes the dust off the surface of the sensor to keep it in top condition
- Capable of Full HD (1080p) movie recording
- For the first time Pentax is introducing Timer Exposure Mode for extending exposure time to as long as 20-min in Bulb Mode
- The camera body has a tough, weather-sealed built with a pair of e-dials for improved control of the PENTAX-invented Hyper-OS
- Offers a hybrid-AF system for Live View shooting and a high-precision AF system with SAFOX X module
- Comes with a very handy 77-segment multi-pattern metering system allowing high-precision metering
- Handy self-timer function that works well even in the Continuous AF (AF-C) mode
- Employs the Pentax-original shake-reduction system for sharp, blur-free images even in low-lit conditions or when working with a telephoto lens
- Users benefit from functional customisation options including choice of menu items and their order, Fx buttons, and three user modes
- Wide array of imaging tools including Custom Image, Scene Modes, Digital Filters, and Clarity Control along with Skin Tone correction functions
- Pixel Shift Resolution System and anti-aliasing filter simulator
- Boasts a high-speed shutter and continuous shooting function
- Incorporates an optical viewfinder with approx. 100 percent FOV and magnification of approx. 0.95x for a wide and bright image
- For better operability a vari-angle LCD monitor has been implemented allowing users to shoot from all angles
- Includes a wireless LAN connection and is compatible with the Image Sync app for remote checking of Live View image, capture of still images, transfer, and adjustment of camera settings
