The Tamron SP 15-30mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 ultra-wide zoom lens continues Tamron's well-established reputation for ultra-high-quality wide-angle zoom lenses but with many new features in this G2 model. Built-in Dual MPU enables vastly improved AF speed and precision, together with a separate processor, enabling outstanding Vibration Compensation image stabilisation up to 4.5 stops.
Designed for superior image quality
By incorporating an XGM (eXpanded Glass Molded Aspherical) lens element, as well as multiple LD (Low Dispersion) lens elements, the distortion and lateral chromatic aberrations so common in wide-angle shooting have been greatly minimised.
Premium lens coating
A newly developed AX (Anti-reflection eXpand) Coating has been applied to reduce ghosting and flare more thoroughly than ever before. The front element now uses an advanced version of Tamron's Fluorine coating to offer better protection that its predecessor from dirt, dust and moisture. Coupled with Tamron's Moisture Resistant Construction this gives both professional photographers and enthusiasts peace of mind especially when shooting outdoors in less than perfect conditions.
Next generation optical performance
This is a next-generation super high-quality, high-speed ultra-wide-angle zoom lens with first-rate optics and a wide range of features that give an impressive shooting experience. It is also the third constant F2.8 G2 lens in the Tamron's lens range, accompanying the 70-200 F2.8 G2 and 24-70 f2.8 G2 lenses.
