Boasting the same 24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III processor seen in the more expensive X-T2, plus internal 4K recording, and 60p in Full HD, the X-E3 has a lot to offer for a camera at this price point. The new ‘Touch Function’ also adds touchscreen functionality similar to smartphones.

A Powerhouse
The X-E3 is fitted with the power to capture impressive pictures from a seamlessly small and relatively lower specification camera. It’s equipped with Fujifilm’s 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor that offers an impressive level of image quality and sharpness thanks to the omission of an optical low-pass filter. It’s has a unique system that features a randomised pixel array that, versus conventional pixel patterns, closely mimics the organic nature of film in order to produce nuanced colours and smooth tonal transitions, while also reducing moiré and aliasing.
To complement this, it’s equipped with an X-Processor Pro image processing engine. This benefits from excellent low-light performance as well as speeding up the overall performance start-up time of 0.4 seconds, shutter lag time of 0.05 seconds, the shooting interval time of 0.25 seconds, and a continuous shoot rate of 14 fps when working with an electronic shutter, or 8 fps with a mechanical shutter.

The Fujifilm XF 23mm f2 R WR is a compact, weather-resistant lens that offers a 35mm equivalent focal length in full-frame, making it perfect for travel, street, and portrait photographers. It has a fast and bright f2 aperture that makes it suitable for lower lighting conditions. Furthermore, the f2 is comprised of 9 diaphragm blades that are able to deliver beautiful bokeh and shallow depth of field.
